ABOUT ALEX
I am Alex Levin, the leader of ASL Business and Tax Consulting, LLC. I have been an accounting, tax, and business advisor since graduating 40 years ago from The University of Baltimore. I have spent over 20 years practicing public accounting in the Baltimore metropolitan area. In 1988, along with a lifelong friend, I started an accounting firm Levin & Zwagil. We grew to 10 accounting professionals servicing a diverse group of businesses ranging in size from small medical practices with less than $1 million to a $30 million manufacturer. Today, one of our founding clients has grown into a $300 million international publishing house, which is proudly led by 2 CPA's, whom I mentored. In 2003, after graduating from Loyola College of Maryland with an MBA, I transitioned to private industry and have spent the past 18 years as a Chief Financial Officer and business leader for three different enterprises ranging in size from $5 - $60 million in revenue.
Over my career, I have evolved into a servant leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, focused on helping businesses grow while managing financial risk. I am guided by the principles of respect, integrity and transparency, and am a life-long learner / avid reader.
I am also a loyal and happy family man, having been married to Sherri for over 40 years with three wonderful daughters and two awesome grandchildren. I am passionate about personal fitness and keeping a healthy lifestyle but do admit to a sometimes unhealthy relationship with the game of golf.
